What Happens During a PCB Diagnostic?
Every diagnostic starts with intake documentation: what device or board this is, what symptoms are present, and any prior repair attempts. From there, a technician performs a visual inspection under magnification, looking for obvious damage, corrosion, or prior rework.
Electrical diagnostics follow: voltage, resistance, continuity, and current-draw testing across relevant circuits. This is where most failures are actually located, whether that is a shorted rail, a failed component, or a damaged trace.
Once the failure point is identified, we document findings and communicate a recommended repair path before any physical rework begins.
